TECHNICAL ADVICE BY DEMETRA
PHENOLOGICAL STAGE ANALYSIS
In between the services offered by DEMETRA ITALIA  we find the technical assistance from our high qualified technicians.

With this newsletter we want to analyze the phenological stages that the crops are going through in this time of the year and the related problems. You can contact us to require a fertilization plan customized for your crops with our products.

In period of severe drought (as we are living today in Italy) it is essential for all the crops to have a good fertilization plant, especially based on foliar treatments, different from crops to crops and in accordance with the phenological stage they are going through

POME FRUITS
PEAR, phenological stage: FRUIT GROWTH - DROP
APPLE, phenological stage: PETAL FALL -  FRUIT GROWHT
The stage of fruit growth is one of the most delicate moment for plants and it is important to keep its “green”, feed the little-fruits and avoid their drop (PEAR), stimulate the cells division and exstention to increase fruit size and give an intake of Calcium to the crops (PEAR and APPLE). Foliar treatment are really important during this stage and must be combined to a correct fertigation plan.

STONE FRUITS
Phenological stage: FRUIT GROWTH - SHUCK FALL
During this stage the goals of foliar treatments will be to increase the fruit size and to keep the plants “green” bringing them Calcium and macro nutrients to improve conservation and consistency of the pulp. As we said, it is important to combined these treatments with the best practice of fertigation.

GRAPEVINE
Phenological stage: INFFLORESCENCES CLEARLY VISIBLE
During this stage the clusters are clearly visible. It is necessary to act with foliar treatment, giving to the plant a good intake of macro and micro nutrients and contribute to the rachis development.

KIWIFRUITS
Phenological stage:  FLORAL BUTTONS - PRE-FLOWERING
It is important during this stage to act with targeted foliar treatments which apport macro and micro element, always in accordance with a correct fertigation plan.

WHEAT
Phenological stage: BEGINNING OF STEM ELONGATION – BEGINNING OF INFLORENCE EMERGENCE
During the stem elongation the growing and the development of the ear continue, so it become necessary to take action with specific foliar treatments aimed at improve the consistancy of the grain, increasing also its qualitatively characteristic, and combined with phytosanitary treatments.

ALFALFA
Phenological stage: in production VEGETATIVE GROWTH, new plants: 2-4 TRIFOLIATE LEAVES
Also for this crops we recommend foliar treatments to increase the foliar volume, also combined with pesticides and herbicides.

POTATOES
Phenological stage: LEAF DEVELOPMENT (2ND – 3RD ORDER)
Intervene with fertigation treatments to increase the roots development and integrate with foliar treatments to balance the plant, avoiding the whitening of the leaf which will cause a less fruit set in tubers.

SUGAR BEET
Phenological stage: 8 TRUE LEAVES, ROW CLOSURE
The foliar treatments will promote rooting even if combined with pesticides.

DEMETRA is close to its customers and it is able to formulate an intervention plant, answering to every kind of need in the best way.
